about 2 1/2 weeks ago, I noticed an 1-2 cm red circle on my very upper thigh. I could harly see so I had my hubby take a pic. It didn't itch or hurt. I don't recall any tick bite, but I live in a more rural area of Minnesota.
about 2 weeks after noticing that rash, I began horrible joint pain. Hips, knees, shoulders and a headashe. Ibuprofen helped, but I also became sweaty everytime I took it. Finally the light bulb turned on and I took my temp. It was 101.
I made an appointment to see nurse practitioner for lyme testing. By this time, my temp had reached 102.2.
She drew CBC, CRP, tick borne illness testing and lyme testing (2 tier, ELISA and western blot)
Called me later that evening to let me know that CRP was elevated and she was just going to start a 21 day course of doxycyline. Started that on Tuesday evening.
ELISA came back positive, but blot came back negative.
She told me to continue doxy and I have been afebrile all day so far today.
Do you thick I actually have lymes?
and If so do you thick because we started treatment so quickly that I will avoid future problems.
