How long did it take you to treat babesia

For those of you who have or are successfully treating protozoa, how long does it take? I mean until you felt like it was totally taken care of?

I have no clue. I hope it is irradicated. I self-treated with Mepron for about 8 months (can't remember exactly) in 2017.
Then did a couple months of bart (again).

Then I went to the J clinic...and treated Babesia again with their protocol for 5 months.

The one symptom that resolved during that time is the pulsatile tinnitus.
Also some improvement in my sleep/waking in the a.m.
I'm no longer waking with a 'pang' of anxiety in the morning. Still get a bit sweaty though.

So you think you still had some babesia hanging around since treating it again with Dr J has resolved a few more things?

Possibly - or it was resolving from the first go-round , but needed more time to 'heal'


My guess is the second time treating Babs with Dr. J. put the nail in the coffin.

I feel like I've gotten rid of most of it . . . Whenever it comes back, I start treating it and the symptoms seem to go away in a matter of days. I don't know what the best way to go about getting rid of it for good.

I've been taking artemesia annua for a little more than 3 years with some breaks. Lately, I switched to arteminisin. I also started mimosa pudica in the spring and it also seemed to help. Of course I've also been taking a lot of other herbs for the Lyme and bartonella.

One of my relatives got just babesia quite a long time ago (at least ten years), and they still have bouts of symptoms now and then.

But I think you said in a earlier post that arteminisin didn't help you much. Have you gotten tested for viruses or other co-infections?

Yah, artimsinin didn't do anything for me, had a tiny bit of die off from cryptolepis but that was it.

Ive taken various antivirals in the past and had some die off but nothing changed. I have treated bartonella for over a year and had some die off but nothing changed. That has really been the story of the past 5 years for me

im always curious when people talk about their symptoms to specific infections...i just dont think we really know, and there is sooo much overlap...i tested positive for babs, did a few rounds of mepron/zith, some liposomal art, some herbals...im still sick, but i dont know if its from babs...id guess my symptoms are lyme or bart but who really knows....i always see babs as the main cause of air hunger and sweats, but i really think they can also be caused by others

what symptoms are people pretty sure is babs?

Yah, 8 months into bartonella antibiotics. Had a little die off but that was it. Nothing changed

I agree - This is prob why Dr J cuts to the chase and systematically treats all three B’s.

what symptoms do you still have? im in same boat as you...i seem to herx each round of abx but my brain fog is worse and worse...and when i started this round of treatment a yr ago, brain fog wasnt really an issue...right now im just trying to keep working, but its getting worse...i think you were in the mast cell posts...i have this too...wonder if that is the issue...
