Zhang Herbs

Does anyone who has used Dr. Zhang's protocol know about how long the herbs are good for? I've never thought to ask during my phone appointments. I found some extra that I forgot I had when I cleaned out my medicine cabinet, and the manufacture date says 1/17. That seems like a long time, but I'm not sure how potent they would be. It would be nice to tell them I already have some and not spend money on a new bottle, though!
