Anyone get "knife in the back" pain

...that lasts all day and night, but is mysteriously gone when you wake up? I have an episode every 3-4 months-- just had one. Just wondering if anyone else has it, and/or what you think it is, and what to do? Thank you.

sharp stabbing-like pain is common with Lyme and Bart. Gabapentin took the edge off for me, but it doesn't work for all people.

It will improve and pass with treatment.

Ive had that in my past.

As someone who has gone through a lot of pain in the past and researched it to death, this question, without more details, is somewhat vague.

To assume what infection this is directly from is a long shot..we just dont know and they all can create pain.

There is a lot of body mechanics involved in pain as well as overall tight fascia restrictions - any of which can put pressure on nerves anywhere in the body creating pain. - and many long term infections can cause this.

Yes, but not in a while. I had this a few times. I had people see me and then I suddenly full of pain and fall down on the ground during a normal conversation. Turmeric everyday for minimum 10 days to build up a level basically stopped this. I haven't had this in a while.

I had to stop using a regular mattress because I would wake up with this pain. I use a recliner so I could, if I had to in my sleep, suddenly move in the upright position due to sudden pain. Again, went away with treatment and I believe Turmeric.

Thanks all , it always starts as a dull pain at the right kidney area then spreads to my whole midsection. I never passed a stone in my life.

Have you told the doctor and had your kidneys checked?

Thanks all. Wow oregonhay, glad you stopped the pain. I had many scans, last one they saw a small stone (on the other side), weeks later i was on the stone-zapping table but they couldnt find it.
