I have lyme for 3 years and only received 1 year plus a few months of treatment. For almost a year I took antibiotics and had limited success. My doctor changed antibiotics a few times and I had a little bit more of good days. Then I started an anti-parasite protocol. I am not sure if the antiparasite medicines killed parasites or had some method of action that kills lyme. But slowly and surely, with the combined efforts I started having more "good days" then bad. Today I feel great. Now when I take the antiparasite medicine, they do nothing. Which is an indication that it has worked. In fact, I am having normal side effects from my regular antibiotics and herbs that I have never noticed before. I am also coming to the realization that I have heavy metal poisoning and mold. If I had issues before (side effects from the herbs, antibiotics, mold, heavy metals), the Lyme was so bad I never noticed them. Now, just to be safe I went back on the protocol although I am symptom free for 3-4 weeks and the only bad part is the side effects. I will keep doing the protocols and just deal with the side effects until my doctor takes me off them. I believe this is between 2 and 10 months. Some of these herbs I will take for life. Some of these antibiotics and antiparasites I will take for life if I ever get any bug bite, I am just never going to take chances. I am expecting that this is just one of many periods of relief and that I will go back into being symptomatic, and have to go back on the protocol, so it ain't over yet, but this is a good sign. So if it happened to me it'll happen to you.
