So I plan on ordering my abxs from adc. I plan I getting rifabutin, minocycline, and azithromycin. I see a generic form of azithromycin called azee and then azee dt. The azee dt is way cheaper but is it the same thing? Also, if anyone could provide how to take these like how far apart, frequency, at what times I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Looks like the azee dt is only 100 mg

I heard that azthromycin interferes with the absorption of rifampin, but I'm not sure if it's true or if it applies to rifabutin..

No, don't think so. I double checked with the drug interaction checker I use.


On the other hand, Biaxin (Clarithromycin) does have an interaction. BUT, the bart guru still pairs them together...so I guess it's not a serious one.
Probably the P450 inhibitor or enhancer issue.

Girlie- right isn't the standard dose 200 mg? So I would take it twice daily. But I wasn't sure what the difference is between the normal azee and the dt...

I don’t know what the dt stands for but the standard dose I think is 500 mg
