My doctor wants me to get started on CBD Oil. He believes that chronic inflammation is the root of my illness and he said this is a sure fire way to reduce that inflammation and get the body back on track.

The CBD Oil he sells is $90 for a 30 day supply. Does anyone else know of any other places that have high quality CBD oil for less money?

I live in Canada and tried CBD oil a couple years ago.

Bought mine here from a company who sells high quality products.
At that time I asked if they New of a good source in the US and they recommended CW hemp.

I don’t know how expensive it is.

But you do want to get a good quality product,

I tried the CBD oil (almost nil thc) but it didn’t work for me.

I guess it depends on what brands. I would definitely look at customer reviews of the product.

I have been on CBC oil for about six weeks. I bought it from a local health food store. The brand is Clearly Better Days. I have worked up two two droppers in the AM. about two weeks ago my neuropathy pain in my feet disappeared. But the numbness increased as did temperature sensitivity in my lower legs. pain in my wrists and forearms also increased. I cannot definitively say the CBD has been the cause or the IVIG I have been on for the last 16 months; or a combination. Regardless, I plan to continue the CBD and increase the dose.

Ed - thanks for sharing. How long are you going to be on the IVIG?
And...was it prescribed because you were diagnosed with SFN?

Are you still treating the infections?
Sorry for all the questions...but I'm very curious about this.

Girlie, yes on the SFN and also Autonomic Nervous system disorder. My Neurologist indicated it would take another 3-5 years of IVIG. I had 0% nerve function in the biosp 18 months ago. 3 and 5% respectively 6 months ago. I was depressed when I saw those numbers before I saw thw DR. He was ecstatic at that improvement in only a year. I am on a fairly high dose of IG though. Will try to remember to post the dosage tomorrow when I am hooked up.

What do you mean "I had 0% nerve function..."
How do you function at all with 0 nerve function?

I heard it is really expensive...hope you have it covered with insurance.

Hey if you take CBD oil then you want the kind not made from hemp. Try CBDistillery.com, they have the cheapest prices. I don't know how many drops you're taking but a bottle costs about $75 IIRC. It should last about a month.

Girlie, what I should have written was 0% functioning properly in the biopsy on my ankle. I believe it was 28% at my hip. that was the only two locations tested.

Yes it is very expensive! And the price swings widely from a low of $25,000 a month to over $100,000. And even at those prices; the company that I was taking at first stopped making it because it was not profitable.

For CBD oil from hemp, our naturopath recommends Plus CBD Oil (capsules - 10 or 15mg). I have a friend who uses this in her family, and they really like the brand too.
I believe our functional medicine MD recommends BlueBird (I think that one is more spendy).
I can't recall which brand our GP recommend.

Plus CBD Oil was the brand recommended to me by someone I trust. Seems quite good.

I bought Plus CBD oil last night at my Fresh Thyme. I bought the 3mg which was their best one.. hopefully it works! I am waiting until the weekend to start.

My mistake about hemp, CBDistillery sells hemp made CBD. But it is still good nonetheless. If you want marijuana based you need a dispensary. It is better quality but also more expensive to obtain. Good luck.

The hemp I purchased was very good quality - almost nil thc (naturally) and organically grown. It was legal prior to the marijuana legalization legislation.

Did nothing for me... but I have seen testimonies on a fb page (retired LLMD EM promotes it)

One woman had been pretty much bed ridden for years and the CBD oil was a gamechanger.

There were several testimonies.

Some people say full spectrum (with THC) is more effective. I've only tried the non-thc kind... just something to keep in mind. I think it's better to try non-thc first to see if it helps. If it doesn't, may be worth it to try full spectrum.

I use bluebird botanicals hemp class 6x as consumerlabs.com rated them cheapest $ per mg.

Just checked out CBDistillery and it does actually look cheaper per mg of cbd, especially with the 5000mg bottle.
CBDistillery = $240 for the 5,000 mg product = $.048 per mg
Bluebird = $600 for the 12,000 mg product = $.05 per mg
So it does look like CBDistillery is slightly cheaper.
If I got my math wrong please correct me.

It looks like they were not included in the consumer lab comparison, so quite possible they are cheaper per actual mg of cbd. I like to use consumer labs as they actually check the supplements for contamination, and whether they actually contain the amount advertised. But it does look like this was tested at an independent Pro Verde lab too.
