Do You Guys Drink Coffee/Caffeine?

Funny thing about caffeine - it makes a very Small number of the population CALM.

Read that correctly.

This has been found to be from a genetic mutation and more common in Autism.

Never been a coffee drinker, but I stopped drinking caffeine over 20 years ago when I discovered it was responsible for my throbbing headaches. Caffeine is responsible for many people's headaches.

Studies show that putting cream in coffee negates caffeine's beneficial effects.

Caffeine is classified structurally as a methylxanthine. It has 3 methyl groups on its structure and if you are like me and have multiple BHMT mutations, you may be more susceptible to more side effects from caffeine ingestion. It also is a high nitrogen containing product and if you have problems like me with a protozoan that alters your ornithine cycle, you may have issues with caffeine. Whether it be xanthine oxidase one of the ornithine decarboxylase enzymes, these are potential targets of pathogens to disrupt our biological pathways. With enough time and effort, you can take your symptoms and walk them back into your biological pathways to the origin and where they occur. It takes some time and knowledge, but it can be done.

I'm not sure if I've mentioned this here or not, but my wife and I are launching a mobile coffee business on the 21st. The past month has been especially stressful and I have not been feeling great a lot of the time.

Anyhow, we're at the last stages and testing our recipes. Horrible for me. Between the caffeine and the sugar, I was in horrible shape about an hour after testing our drinks. My wife could have raste tested alone, but I could not help myself. Within a 2 hour span today I had tried a peppermint latte, a chai latte, a mocha latte, a hazelnut latte, a mango smoothie, and 2 types of drip coffee. An hour after this I had one of the worst neurological assaults I've ever had.

This really sucks because I love coffee. A lesson learned to take micro sips when testing.
