hello,

I'm french, so excuse me for my poor english. I posted in the past some messages about lyme disease. I Tried in the past a few protocols with plants but no effect i felt a little worse with it (perharps too low dosage or not long enough to have an effect ?). I try 2 antibiotics in the past : doxy 200 for 3 weeks and after this rocephin 1gr for 18 days but no results and a few herx reactions...some people sid me it was not enough..
since this time, I have waited for a rendez vous with a famous lyme doctor...I wiated 9 months ...and here we are, I have seen him and he gives me a new strong strong protocol test. I fear to take this :
rocephin 2gr
doxy 200
and an antigongical... all these antibiotics in the same time during 30 days (i'm not sure my veins support and me ...) After this, a new combination of antibiotics..What to think about this treatment. I'm afraid because I have a neurolyme and I fear my bad reactions...

Hi Mary, are you implementing various detox methods? this can be helpful in regards to symptom relief and managing herxheimers. And certain detox methods are supposed to help support the liver and kidneys (dandelion tea and milk thistle come to mind). Are you taking any probiotics?

Have you been evaluated for coinfections as well? do you know the next combo you will be taking?

My view is that if a reaction gets beyond manageable it's best to stop and take a break from the medications. If the herx is tolerable then I usually keep going. The good thing is you've been on both medications before and seemed to tolerate them pretty well, so hopefully you will be ok with the combo. I've also found antihistamines helpful when my herxes get bad because I think there is an immune hypersensitivity component going on with my case.

Are seeing Prof P by any chance? I've heard very good things about him. I'd like to read his book as well.

Mary - is the only difference thus time the increase in Rocephin dosage?
Oh - and an antigonical...I don’t know what that is.. did you mean antifungal?

I don’t have any experience with the IV abx - hopefully someone here will post about that. I don’t know the dose of Rocephin.

I suggest you have a discussion with your Dr about what the plans are for coinfections - Bartonella and Babesia - does he have a plan for those?

If you herxed the last time - that is a sign they are working but you really weren’t on them for long.

Treating chronic Lyme takes many months - and even years for some

Sebreg mentioned detoxing - take a look into that.

hello,

thanks for yours responses ! yes it is an antifungal but in fact the antifungal is for the second cure. For the first cure : doxy200+rocephin gr+difulone-(dapsone).I made co-infections last week. i'm waiting for the results...It is not pr P. who is very famous for this disease but another doctor who works with him.very difficult to meeet him...
I heard it is not because we have further antibiotics that we herx more, I hope...I have some things for detox and he advices me to takefresh ginger in the same time as perfusion.I note dandelion tea and milk thistle, thanks a lot
