Hi all I’m on month four of my Lyme treatment. I’m working with my LLMD and doing antibiotics as well as LDN and lots of supports. I’m feeling a lot better and sleeping a lot better. I’d say I’m feeling 75% better but I do still have some lingering symptoms that pop up especially around my period. Right now I’m extremely tired and have some neuropathy pains. Will these last forever? I know my doctor said I’ll be treating for at least six months but should I ask her to stay on longer in hopes of getting rid of all my symptoms? I guess what I’m trying to ask is will I always have Lyme and therefore some lingering Lyme symptoms or will I eventually kick this thing out of my body entirely? I believe I have Lyme plus four coinfections. Thank you

Since you've only been treating for 3+ months...I'd say you've made VERY good progress being 75%.
I'm assuming you have chronic lyme (not an acute infection)?


Keep going - fight for symptom free. I wouldn't question going off the abx when you have lingering symptoms...unless of course you've treated for years....not months.

I could have given up after 2 years of treating...had plateaued but still had maybe 10 - 12 symptoms...including my worst one that started it all. I switched LL Dr.'s because mine had pretty much lost interest in my case.

I have lost a few more symptoms since that time....if I had quit...then I'd still have those symptoms...and still be miserable...

I’m glad to hear you’re no longer miserable!! I too was very very sick when I started treating. I only had Lyme for three months prior to testing but I had probably 30 symptoms and all very server, I still don’t know why I got so sick so quickly! I will keep fighting towards symptom free!!! Some days I think man I have to get off all these pills but I’m going to keep treating and hope that I can completely get rid of this! TY!!
