i had irreparable nerve damage and mild stevens johnsons syndrome from a 10day course of bactrim . im glad to be alive . the indescribable horror freak show that ensued would and may be a novel someday and 33 ignorant doctors later ,a nurse with als lyme saved my life.
Hey bluelyme, why were you put on the antibiotic if you don't mind me asking? Could this all have been prevented if you could do it over again?
Sounds like a pretty scary event, I've never heard of Stevens-Johnson syndrome. Googling it does not look pretty.
How did you overcome this and how much better are you now?

I had a health crisis brought on by my sodium levels in my blood falling much too low. I was on the Marshall protocol, and it was dumb of me not to realize that taking tons of medication that lowers your blood sodium levels would. .... well lower my sodium levels. It went on for way too long and I got very, very sick and lost a lot of weight, and the doctor I was going to didn't realize what was happening.
Interesting note on the Marshall Protocol, I had never heard of it before and it looks interesting.
How could you have prevented it if you did it over again? Having a good physician connecting the dots to monitor your sodium levels in your blood and supplementing / eating is sodium Rich diet?
And you both for sharing your stories!
