Every once in a great while, I end up reading posts on some of the other forums. Today, I was reading on the Ulcerative Colitis forum.
Wow! What a difference there is in the Lyme forum compared to others. They have no tolerance for people sharing their heartfelt opinions if it differs from someone else’s viewpoint, etc. They also seem like staunch supporters of conventional doctors and treatment and either discount or downplay the role that diet or alternative treatments may have.
I am SO GLAD this forum is tolerant of people expressing their opinions, concerns, doubts, etc, and are probably among the most knowledgeable non-medical practitioners anywhere. I don’t know what I would do without the support of the awesome people on this forum.

Agreed. This forum is more helpful than most of the doctors I have seen! As with any forum, I take everything with a grain of salt and do my own research before coming to conclusions about
things I read on here, but I do that with the "top" specialists as well!

I agree! When I first got Lyme I was suicidal. I made a post on here asking if Life was still living, many members replied that though it would be different and difficult they assured me that life was still worth living. I honestly don’t know if I would be here if it weren’t for those people who took the time to reply to me. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I can only hope that I can help others who are dealing with this illness.

"staunch supporters of conventional doctors"
- A couple years ago, I had a post locked on another HW forum because I mentioned some natural supplements that worked!!
They thought I was following witchcraft, and of course, they kept suffering from conventional Drs and Rx's ect.

Yes! This forum rocks. Everyone is so polite and our moderators do a fantastic job keeping dialogue
open, yet protecting the members at the same time. I got a proper diagnosis because of this forum.

100% agree, this forum has been beyond invaluable. It's also what got me the right diagnosis after 10+ years of misdiagnosed hell.
Very grateful for all the kind members here who are so willing to share ideas, information, support in a thoughtful and considerate manner.

Agree. Probably cause this experience forces us out of the conventional paradigm and our as well as others biases
