hello everyone!

my doctor prescribed me bactrim for 2 weeks and medrol 16gm for 3 weeks for Bartonella henselae... is it safe to take medrol? am afraid of its side effects and so on

Hello!

Thanks for reply... He is a infecious doctor, like 3 weeks ago he prescribed me azithromycin for 5 days and did surgery on lymph node because of tenderness and abcess now bactrim and this steroid

No I haven’t.
Steroids in doses used for autoimmune diseases are contraindicated when you have lyme and co’s.

So unless it’s a low dose it could be suppressing your immune system - resulting in the infections to flourish
