Hey guys.
In 6 days I'm starting 4 weeks of hyperthermia and IV flagyl and clindamycin with an IV vitamin cocktail too.
I was infected July 2016 and began treatment September 2017.
I've never tested positive for babesia but experience mild air hunger, heart pain, sweats, joint pain, chills and malaise intermittently and can induce it if I miss my artemisinin and azithromycin.
Ive tested positive for borrelia via Armin Labs and was cleared via C6-Elisa through them in September last year.
I was severely ill in the year before I began my oral regime that ultimately cleared me of borrelia and I retain a good degree of functionality currently as long as I stay on my oral antibiotics but have not been able to fully clear or stay symptom free from babesia and thus the progression to IVs.
Would appreciate it if anyone here could provide some insight on what I can expect from hyperthermia and the IVs. Can I expect a cure? I'm really not debilatated but just can't shake this babesia.
Thank you all and all the best to everyone.
If you haven’t successfully treated babesia, you may still have active borrelia.
The Elisa test isn’t something you can rely on to confirm your borrelia is in remission.
Unfortunately Azithromycin and artemisinin isn’t enough to treat Babesia.
Georgia Hunter’s comment about
hyperthermia not working for Babesia - that is what a forum member was also told when she went to Europe for hyperthermia.
I do hope the IV Flagyl and Clindamycin will be effective against the Babesia.
Good luck - I hope it works for you and please let us know how it goes.
Re: Azith and artemisinin. I always thought that hey but my doctor swears it gets half his patients better, its not even standard of care for babesia according to any government body I can see. If anything its half the standard of care lol. I've been on hydroxycholoroquine for 6 months or so too so once that clindamycin hits me I'll finally be receiving the standard so hopefully that gets me over the line.
Right. My doctor did say that too. I do still get carditis which we assumed was from the babesia but seems unlikely given its hardly ever reported as causing such in humans. I suppose it could easily be remnant Borrelia.
I'll come back to this thread once a week or so and keep it updated in case anyone is following or will find it interesting in the future.
Thank you!
