Mepron Troubles

So I found out the reason why I relapsed after being at 95% after treating bartonella and lyme.
I have babesia duncani. My LLMD has started me on the Mepron/Zithro and Mino.

I started one week ago (1/2tsp once a day Mepron pairing with Zithro and Mino) and felt okay for 5 days and then Saturday hit (after first acupuncture appt) and it has been terrible ever since. Depression, anxiety, insomnia, derealization, crying spells, chills, shaking and brain fog.
I am detoxing tons to no success, in fact the infrared sauna made it worse.

I know this can be a part of the "Mepron blues" but when will this resolve? Does this resolve with treatment?
What are other people's experiences?

I am also treating with CSA and crypto-plus (have for a couple of months before positive for babesia).

Mepron hit me hard too.

First time on it for about 7 months - 1 tsp twice daily (with fat) with mino.
I pulsed it and it was still killer.

I had terrible head pressure, crying spells (more than my usual lyme crying) and confusion.

Second time on it I took 2 tsp twice daily and pulsed it 8 days per month with mino and Ceftin.
Even though it was double dose I tolerated it better.


Will you be increasing your dose at some point?

Man, I was on malarone for a month and it pretty much made me suicidal. It's a 5-HT3 receptor antagonist (serotonin subclass) that apparently has no influence on neural serotonergic action but I don't buy it. So I reckon that's why it happens. I tried to get around it by having most of my doses as close to sleep as possible.

Could also be a protracted herx.

I think between the full moon, starting mepron, acupuncture and the 4 different herbs for babesia I gave myself an epic herx.
