Burning Scabbing Rash and Remission

Got rid of all of my noticeable (or life-stopping) bartonella/Lyme symptoms a couple years or so ago but the one big mystery I have yet to figure out is this:

The first noticeable symptom that triggered my five year battle was a seared burn mark on my ankle that scabbed over the next few days. This was the week of my birthday in April. The next week I was in hospital fighting for my life.

Ever since then whenever the assortment of symptoms were at there worse searing painful burn mark would appear on my ankles and feet, burn off the skin which would then scab over.

The burn rashes only appear every April the same time every single year! Burning skin off my ankle over and over and leaving scabs for a few weeks before stopping until the next year.

So my questions are: does anybody know what could cause these particular symptoms/scab rashes and does anybody have experience with them? (It’s what led me to bartonella but stories specifically like this are seemingly rare)
And
As I have since stopped active treatment (bar diet and some general health supplements) would you take this as a sign that the infection/health issue is still loose and actively damaging my body so treat aggressively or take it as being in remission/gone and as an after effect?

I had a similar bump but it went away slowly with treatment. I haven’t had it in a long time, many months. I would think you need more treatment if you have that symptom recurring but I’m not sure. Good luck!
