Lying on left side uncomfortable

Hi everyone , I’ve been on a roll with the questions lately !! For a while now I have noticed that lying on my left side in bed is uncomfortable/ not painful just a bit annoying ... I get a pressure feeling around my spleen area - like I can feel it there ..I never get it lying flat or any other position just lying on my left side anyone else ??thankyou

Not the spleen. If I lay on my left side, I can have chest pain and tightness on that side when I get up. Used to happen every time. Much less frequent these days.

Also, in the first year after I got really sick and developed sudden onset IBS-C and first had visible evidence of ropeworm and had silent reflux, when I would lay on my left side, I would immediately feel strange activity in my stomach and upper abdomen near the rib cage. Literally felt like little aliens walking around in there. Freaky.

Some of these infections can severely affect the spleen and liver.

Do you have Epstein-Barr virus? Acutely it can enlarge the spleen, but I'm not sure if that's possible chronically. For peace of mind, it might be worth going to the ER and asking for an ultrasound of the area to rule out issues with the spleen or splenic artery.
