OSHA, CDC, and other government agencies do not set any Federal standards regarding mold exposure. They also do not acknowledge the range if health effects that mold exposure causes. Their publications on mold are very outdated.
The CIRS remediation experts do serve as expert witnesses in court, if you can afford them and a lawyer.
I honestly don’t know how to go about this, but there are a few who have. I would look for a CIRS Shoemaker Certified physician near you and contact them about your situation. I would feel them out to see how willing they are to support you and how they can advise you on the matter.
Check out the survivingmold website for information.
Sorry I don’t have anything more specific at the moment. If I find something, I will let you know.
I also had a dear coworker who had worked in the basement for years. She died of colon cancer, too, in her 50’s. Another person who worked in the basement developed some mysterious lung problems and sounded like he was having an asthma attack one of the last times I saw him. He had to stop working and died some time after.
The denial has to stop. It’s not likely to stop as long as the government and conventional medical community deny the true health effects of indoor mold and mycotoxin exposure.

Thank you for the tips. I made an appointment with a shoemaker certified MD!
Appreciate it.
