Could be. And btw...you don't need a rash to get Lyme, some never see one, or they are in the scalp. However that rash is splotchy in a way that looks infected, or like your immune system just got a weird thing to try to take care of...doesn't have to be perfectly circular either.
Doesn't have to be Lyme n cos, doesn't have to be a tick either, biting flies, horseflies, mosquitoes, yes the dirty needles of nature are the ticks, they all carry and transmit some nasty infections, especially ticks, but mosquitoes and other biting flies transmit/carry are vectors of disease too.
If I were you, and I had money and a decent doctor, or a credit card and the Internet, I would get 4-6 weeks of strong antibiotics, something like (and I'm guessing here, an LLMD would know much much better) Tindamax and Minocycline +Amoxicillin, or Buhners Protocol. Or loads of Doxycycline + something else strong.
Look for how to treat acute tick born disease infection (aka lyme disease). Eat heroic doses of garlic and oregano, and also ginger and other naturally antimicrobial foods. Take it seriously, time is TICK-ing, don't be like some of us.
