Does anyone here use boneset tea? Buhner recommends it for addressing neurological symptoms (I believe it helps with remyelination), but according to some reports it isn't safe for long-term consumption due to the presence of pyrrolizidine alkaloids.
A 2010 post from Buhner's site claims that these alkaloids are found in related species but not in boneset (eupatorium perfoliatum), but I've read more recent reports that contradict this. I do feel better when I'm drinking boneset tea, but I certainly don't want to destroy my liver.
What's the consensus here?
