I’ve not heard that malarone is a cyst buster.
Pulsing the abx is a method of cyst busting.
BTW - repeated testing really can’t be used to gauge when we’re finished treating.
Many false negatives
==========================
I also worry about
false positives with these being almost exclusively antibody tests. And one would think if Bartonella igM were positive for so long that some igG would develop. That being said I’m just going to go by symptoms.
Isn’t mepron(atovaquone) considered to be a cyst buster by some? If so, then the atovaquone in malarone should have some possible action... I hope.==========================
IgM wouldn’t be a false positive - it may linger before converting to IgG - so that’s why we go by symptom resolution - not testing to gauge when we’re done treating.
Dr J wrote about
IgM persisting in Lyme for many months - to years - he described it as a continual reactivation.
