https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/youtuber-called-chronic-lyme-disease-115510712.htmlYikes, I saw this video this YouTuber made a week ago, not surprised it already has a response.
Sadly, this girl didn't do her research on borrelia persister cells, biofilms or drug resistant coinfections like babesia and bartonella.
https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/lyme-disease-may-linger-for-1-in-5-because-of-persisters/"They also tested four current drugs that are used to treat the disease and found that the parasite has low susceptibility to these therapies."
https://news.yale.edu/2018/11/29/yale-scientists-develop-new-system-study-emerging-tickborne-diseaseI suspect it's going to take a long time, a very long time to reverse the sterotype and stigma the IDSA/CDC have put on lyme disease and patients.

People like you, who go around spreading misinformation, are the reason we can’t get affordable treatment. People like you are the reason it has taken us this long to get where we are today. People like you need to educate yourselves before you go around making videos or posting articles that will set us back any further.
And while it's sad to see citizens blaming each other for the stigma and stereotype, it's really not the girl's fault, but the sole lies within the IDSA/CDC which still has a failure to admit the truth. Sure hope the truth gets out one day to the entire public, because it's really sad to see lyme patients feelings being hurt saying chronic lyme is a scam. People commit suicide due to stuff like this, sure hope the girl takes the video down. I'm sure in her head she feel's she's doing the right thing and is also looking to get more subscribers and views.
There seems to be an increasing trend of YouTubers trying debunk things and ruine people's reputations, stuff like this has become more and more popular on YouTube.
656 likes, that's 656 people that were brainwashed by one video, scary thought. I like what one YouTuber commented...

This video is dangerous, misleading, and perpetuates a harmful myth. The author is correct that there are predatory alternative medicine doctors who prey on vulnerable people; there is no debate there. However, the author is badly wrong when concluding that chronic Lyme disease is a non-existent condition, or that there is any kind of scientific consensus on that topic.
