I only sleep that much with no alarm at once on non-work days, they say sleep is good, but I feel like crap after that. I usually wake my normal time then dose back off on purpose. I wrote a similar post and one response was maybe "you start a new sleep cycle". Yea, maybe thats what happens(?)
Back with lyme, I got very little night sleep, was a zombie living off 15-30 min naps when I could. Ive never had a full time job where punctuality mattered - as long as the work got done was the key...didnt matter how..During the start of healing, I slept 8-10 hrs even on work days. Nothing was enough for a while.
All this time thyroid levels were monitored and adjusted to my "optimal thyroid window".
Its now said how good naps are and also sleeping in on days off vs maintaining same sleep schedule.
Im thinking normal night sleep on WORK DAYS OFF with alarm clock is better, but then take a 15 - 45 min noon nap....or two even to get more sleep without starting REM cycle again. One must exercise and move to fully waken during the day though. Even the old people near me who are still moving good get out in the winter, even when they prob dont feel like it.
Hard core "always busy people" I know are never tired and get 5-7 hrs sleep. They are super human in my book.
