Oats don’t contain gluten - celiacs can eat them
.But make sure they’re processed in a factory that isn’t contaminating them with other grains
Astro: "Many oat cereals have cross contamination.
For clarification, Im not celiac, but get cytokine release from both oats and gluten (many do but have never properly tested for it)."

Girlie: "They don’t have contamination when you buy the GF ones - processed in a facility with no gluten products.
My son had regular testing done - ie every few months for several years - as the gluten damaged his gut when it wasn’t known he had celiac. The oats are fine.
He still gets tested periodically - to make sure.---------------------------------------
Astro: If he feels well from oats, then he doesn't have cytokine release from it. Some people do and may or may not know this. A celiac Dr will prob be clueless with this "cytokine" information and not test for it, as its a "different angle" than what they are used to. Celiac Drs are not good with food "sensitivities", only full blown antibody celiacs.
Many people (I mentioned the technicalities) are also sensitive to oats. There is cytokine testing that I continue to mention which is different than what pure gluten testing does. Many foods can release cytokines- there are more common ones: oats and corn, the many gluten grains, and sugar being included in the common group, but the diff is the individual.
Just so happens Gluten grains can have both: sensitivities and intolerance (celiac). Different levels of symptoms, but neither are good long term. Those people can react to Gluten Free oats (I am one), it's there immune system.
I'm not sure on this part, but Im guessing there is a certain elevated level of cytokine release needed before antibodies are developed in the transformation change from a food sensitivity into a food intolerance (like celiac). Think of the difference of hitting your thumb with a hammer, vs cutting it off, both suck, one just sucks less.
