Mycoplasma Positive Lyme - indeterminate & not enough? cdc bands

I'm a year into what I believe was or is an infection from Lyme and other possible co-infections/parasites, I am at a loss with the medical community. I can't get in with a Lyme specialist for another 3months. I switched PCP's because I was frustrated getting nowhere & told her I needed to pursue Lyme because no other Specialist, has been able to give me any other reason or answer (Neurologist or Rheumatologist). I almost went to infectious disease Doc but I've read so many negative experiences I have not pursued that. I have had a total of 4 Lyme related tests and 1 co-infection test but that was hand picked and excluded Bartonella, RMSF and the European Lyme strain - my Naturopath just tested for: Mycoplasma Pneumoniae (tested positive for IgM but negative PCR ), Anaplasmosis Phago (tested negative), Babesia Microti (negative) & Erhlichia Chafeensis (negative). My latest Lyme using Stonybrook said IgM indeterminate band 41. I had positive IgM bands 58,60,64,66,72, & 93. Another test had IgM reactive bands 23 & 39. I just don't know what to make of it all. This was my last comment from my Doc: 1. Your lyme testing was indeterminate but C6 is normal, you would expect this to be abnormal with lyme.
2. Mycoplasma- PCR is negative but IgM is positive; PCR is a better test for this. Okay to finish up course of Doxycycline.
3. Babesia is negative.

Then moving forward once you finish the course of Doxycycline will be to await consult with Dr. D____ and determine next steps or if any further treatment is needed. While awaiting appointment with Dr. D_____ I would f/u with your naturopath and see if they have any further treatment recommendations.

I feel like screaming and or canceling my entire health policy since I've spent well over $4,000 out of pocket with a pricey premium of $2200 month and just about zippo for answers- except low cd57 numbers and positive for Mycoplasma (I had to push for that test as well).

I'm actually surprised your PCP agreed to run those tests! But yes, I'm sure you are frustrated. To me, it sounds like Lyme. Lyme-literate folks tend to make clinical diagnoses if the testing is not all that helpful but the signs and symptoms are consistent with Lyme. Conventional medicine and insurance companies have not helped me with this issue in the slightest, and I agree, that feels very wasteful!

It's hard to wait another three months for an LLMD appointment, but you don't actually have to wait that long to begin to get yourself into a better place - stabilized, less inflammation, detoxification, healthier gut, dietary changes, immune support, etc. - so that you can handle treatment better once you do finally see the LLMD. A lot of people feel eager to do antimicrobial treatment ASAP, but the overall condition of your body is a huge part of the puzzle for everyone, so maybe you could spend the time getting a head start on that part.
