I am now taking the American dose - thanks in part to this website 400mg doxy per day I am one week in. after the first day I experienced joint and muscle pain and nausea but I seem to have moved through that and it's more manageable . I am still tired my eyes are closing now . maybe it was the herx reaction - I'm not sure?
I got the tick end of July and I'm not sure what to do after this course finishes. (4-6 weeks ) I could be referred to the local hospital infectious diseases but I've heard from local people with lyme it's nearly killed them as they will only treat u once then abandon you.
OR go private - but the person I know who is doing this is still on anti b almost 10 years later
OR take herbs. I've already looked at some of the ones recommended on https://www.indigo-herbs.co.uk/blog/lyme-disease-herbal-protocol
but can herbs alone do it. (I being super careful re: diet right now too. and just got a Berkey water filter.
and has anyone got better after 6 months of being untreated? Is it too late?
I am adapting, but just trying to research what to do after anti b stop?
You will need more treatment after the 4-6 weeks of abx.
It will take several months of treatment.
Do some research - we have a lot of members doing Buhners protocols.
Yes - many people have gotten better after going 6 months untreated.
We have members who have suffered for years and then treated and are well.
Definitely not too late!
