Rubbing alcohol can kill some viruses. Its diluted with water (more effective) from pure alcohol. Wetwhips on hand in car might be wise. Clean steering wheel with those after shopping.

If the modern world eliminated hand operated public door knobs / handles, epidemics might be cut in half. Foot/shoe mechanically operated would not cost much more at all. Ive not touched a public bathroom exit door knob/handle without a paper towel or bottom of shirt in ten years. No paper basket by the door(?), put one there then, where people drop the paper towels for this reason. Hand dryer? - shirt bottom for the door.
