Trawling through the facebook pages again I have found another point of interest. Cranberry extract can interfere with eflux pumps (an adaptation that pumps the abx out of the bacteria) as well as makes gram negative bacteria more permeable to antibiotics. This is in vitro and in vivo.

Might be a leap to suggest that it does the same in bartonella but it's something to consider.

I'm considering getting some of this to take when I begin my rifampin/doxycycline combo for bartonella and lyme. Of all the infections bartonella really seems to be the most stubborn.

One for Quin to have a look at? Just a thought.

There is no coincidence that cistus incanus proven to disrupt biofilms and kill dormant forms of borrelia has also proanthocyanidins. These plants share powerful polyphenols.

Besides being anti biofilm and borreliocidal it has a potent anti inflammatory due to that compound, wish seems also to kill bacteria resistance.

Cranberry juice seems to be popular for treating bladder infections. I don't know if it does anything to bartonella.

Since bart is gram negative the polyphenols on cran berry and even Cistus can make bart vulnerable to antibiotics. Cistus reaches the blood brain barrier and kills them all on the brain, but you will suffer since it also releases the toxins in your brain. Like a bee that stings you on the skin, it will die after it, but it will release its venom....Thats why i sometimes use NAC to clean the mess bart leaves in my brain. I know that because every time i use cistus plus abx i got every time marks in my forehead.
