Perhaps some here would have knowledge about
this? My mom has had gut issues on and off and had a bad flare recently, so she got a blood test and was positive for H. Pylori. It's possible she's had it for years as she has had belching issues since in her 20s if not earlier.
She is currently treating it with 400mg Berberine 3x day, 1000mg Mastic Gum 3x day, some baking soda 2-3x day, some Pepto Bismol here and there, and 1-2 tsp. Argentyn 23 Silver. She takes some other vitamins/supplements, but that's the main H. Pylori protocol.
Do you think biofilms are important for treatment of H. Pylori? I have read that NAC may be helpful in that regard. Any thoughts on this? Thanks.

H. Pylori isn't terribly difficult to kill with antibiotics, if treated correctly. Bismυth (ie Pepto Bismol) is effective but it needs to be consistent, and not just here and there.

A few notes on H pylori:
H pylori can be detected by increased cadmium excretion on urinalysis.
H pylori can bind copper and decrease manganese levels.
H pylori can decrease thyroid activity and is associated with Parkinson's.
H pylori can cause bruising and bleeding issues.
H pylori causes high levels of tryptamine.
H pylori excretes cadmium but sequesters nickel.
H pylori increases ketosis.
H pylori makes ketones for energy through fat digestion.
H pylori takes 6 months to a year of treatment, broccoli helps reduce TNF-alpha.
L reuteri reduces H pylori and Clostridia.
Grape seed extract is good for H pylori.
E coli, Strep, and H pylori like an acidic environment.
Cranberry is good for H pylori.
Peptomysin or Natromycin kill H pylori.
Tryptamine increases on a ketogenic diet.
Tryptamine is processed by the same enzyme that processes serotonin and is impacted by manganese and copper.

I was tested for h pylori.
I believe the breath test is the best one.

I'd be surprised if you could get h pylori with all the antibiotics you're taking for Lyme.

Thanks. My LLPA has agreed to see her, so she may end up doing ABX.
