Antibiotic absorption.

Has anyone ever taken digestive enzymes or anything like that to help absorb antibiotics? If so what did you use.

I do take digestive enzymes, but did not know it could help absorb antibiotics. Wish I could tell if it makes a difference.

Running wild. Ya I’m not sure if digestive enzymes do actually help absorb them. I will ask my doctor next phone call.

Girlie- this is what I’m trying to figure out. Is it normal for urine color to go back to normal after 7 days or so or does this mean something is wrong/I’m not absorbing

What are you currently taking that changes your urine colour?
Rifampin?

And is your urine colour going back to normal after 7 days off the abx OR are you still taking them?

I took Rifampin for over a year and I believe my pee turned colour for the entire time.
As the day went on after the dose, it lightened some and then after taking second daily dose, it would darken again.

take rifampin at least 3h after meals and eat meals at least 1h after rifampin. i did this mistake in 2015 with the bart treatment and nobody told me this, so be advised. u are not absorbing it properly and i bet you underestimate the time it takes for rifampin to be absorbed on empty stomach. it is not "30 minutes before meals", that was too short for me. also not "2h after meals"
