Does Biaxan Cross the BBB?

I had a question as to if Biaxin crosses the BBB? I am supposed to take 500mg x3. It seems to be alot.

I have always wondered why all adults are generally prescribed the same dose of abx.
Yet children - they go by weight.

When I started taking lyme abx, I was 125 lbs.
I took the same dose as a male - who could easily by 200 lbs.

I took 500 twice daily of Biaxin.
Prob 1500 daily isn’t too high for a larger male.

I don't think biaxin is one of the better abx to cross b/b barrier.

Mino is good for that.

Hopefully someone will post more information.
