neg tests w/ regular doc office testing bt positive tests with different labs for lyme/bab/bart??

Anyone hv multiple false negative tests for bab/bart/lyme etc when being tested at their regular doc's office bt positive using different labs? I feel most primary car.docs.dont test for different strains or tests are as sensitive as other labs like igenex or aperiomics .I had multiple lyme tests neg until it came back positive via urine test and once I started taking NAC or popping a doxycycline or 2 them more bands would be.reacribe on western blot. Bart neg bt theres multiple strains and buhner protocol def killing something off in my.body. used biofeedback machine skeptical was told I had rickettsia not sure wt kind?? Relapsing fever explains me low red and white blood cell almost died once. 🤦‍♀️Different labs have better stronger testing?

Yes, if I am understanding you correctly. Your labs from your primary care were done that came back negative?

You will see that same story over and over on this forum. It took 11 years for me to get a doctor who understood testing for Lyme and the significance of the results. Were you able to see the results, which I'm guessing were on a Western Blot by a company like Labcrop or Quest? If you didn't there may have been been some bands positive that the CDC would still consider a negative for Lyme, even though some are Lyme specific. Or they did all come back false negative.

The only reason I finally got a positive Lyme diagnosis is because the rheumotologist who ordered them understands Lyme and the significance of the different bands. She was at Yale when they did some of the first Lyme disease studies and helped in that. Therefore, while I wasn't "CDC positive," she knew enough to se that the four bands I did have positive meant positive for Lyme.

Others should follow with, possibly, similar stories. The labs you mentioned are much more likely to give more reliable results.

No I've never tried labcorp and such.was done by primary doc and I had one positive lyme test through urine 2014 and that doc never even mentioned it some bs excuse that it was half a test or split test whatev. Then I had western blot came BK 1 band positive popped a doxy had multiple tests until 3 bands came BK positive. Bands 30 39 41 sometimes it'll go back down to 1 band thinking immune system down plus I looked at my bart test they only tested bart igg and I'm whatever there's different strains though

My first WB with Labcorp was IgG positive on 41 and 66. That was in 2016. I have had about 7 or 8 Labcorp WB’s since then. After the first Lyme WB, I was positive on band 41 only each time until recently. The last 2 have been completely negative.

In Nov 2016, I tested with Igenix: IGG 39 Ind, 41++, 58+ / IGM 39 Ind, 41+, 45+, 58+.

Soon after, I tested positive for Lyme and ehrlichia with DNA Connexions.

I have had numerous Labcorp tests for coinfections. Always negative except for the pneumonias. There is a numerical result on RMSF, but it’s below the positive range.

Medicalnerd - The doctor must have sent the tests to some lab to have them tested. Maybe you can find out which lab?

As you can see on Walingbyfaith's tests, much more showed up on Igenex tests. Doesn't mean your's would, but the fact you had a hit on several, especially band 39, indicates a high possibility of Lyme as, I believe, most Lyme doctors believe it is Lyme specific.

That is what I have read a lot and have been told.

I've had different bands for lyme come out positive each time so that leads me to believe I HV lyme. I'm more curious about the bart tests and do infections. All of u must hv paid a fortune for the testing huh??

Yes - I had the lyme test that is used here in Canada - and the Western Blot wasn’t done because the first test (IFA) was negative and they don’t do a WB if the first test isn’t positive.

I then tested positive IgM with Igenex WB

about a year later I tested positive for Bartonella with an unknown lab in Eastern Canada - a LLND had been using it. It was only $100 per test so I went for it.

For Lyme diagnostics, pretty much everybody uses a B31 kit. Certainly Quest and Labcorp do. Igenix tests against two strains, which is nice. I think so does Stonybrook. ELISA is a waste of time. Get someone to do a Western Blot and learn what the different bands signify. There are literally entire countries that you can test positive for with just a couple Lyme-specifc bands. We used to be one until 1994 and the Dearborn debacle,

As for co-infections, yes, cost can be an issue, but what most people don't appreciate is that the quality of metrics for bart and babs are as dismal if not worse as they are for Lyme. Actually, they are worse. So whatever you pay, you cannot necessarily take those results to the bank.

I'd.go for it for $100 I just checked I'm u.s. it's about $200 for individual test then panels are $400-1,200 especially for the co infections. I'm doing buhners herbs based on symptoms
