The thought that tick infections are responsible for these "labeled" diseases and autoimmune diseases is probably just one cause, but not with everyone. There are many things that can cause this stuff.
If you take this one step further, why are some people suffering from tick bites when there are so many others that get bit regularly and are never sick from it? Whats different from one person to another? Genes and your immune system. Not everyone is born with that 100% functioning correctly.
Yes there are even specific discovered genes related to most "labeled diseases" in this post. They aren't always "switched on" though ...what caused it? >...pathogens (ticks, gut issues other), the environment, food, food chemicals, industrial chemicals ect all can affect your genes and immune system. Its one big circle and pretty hard to guess where it started. And dont forget your gut is directly related to immune and the nervous system (some say its part of it).

I knew two people with ALS, like others mentioned, they unfortunately went down hill fast. RIP. One was an avid hunter. I talked to his brother briefly about
tick illness, it did not settle in well, so I dropped it.
MS > Dr McDonald and Thomas Grier (?...close?), teamed up at least a decade ago to look at upper mid-west diseased MS brains. What they found was nemotoid(?) debris that was thought to be related to lyme somehow. Better info goggling this.
I actually went to a MS support group 5 years ago, before my turning point when I hadn't completely ruled it out myself. None of them had a "functional medicine" thinking mind at all.......my thoughts were foreign to all but one there, and that guy threw many good questions at me as the group was eating cupcakes....yes. I didn't mention sugar is evil lol.

In my deepest abyss, I took a physical brain skills test from a lyme symptoms knowledgeable Dr. I had slurred speech, major word recall issues, talked and thought real slow for about
three years, my test results were very poor. It had been declining for quite some time though and was really hard to do what Id done for a living. Had to change to easier but related work a couple times and really like the lower stress. I could go backto my past but dont want to, the stress from top management is not worth it.
