I think our bodies get overloaded very often ... and then well-meaning providers and friends tell us to take MORE things to address the symptoms of being overloaded! It nice to take breaks from things every now and then. Sometimes detoxing means not adding things for your body to process, and just subtracting.
A working gut (and biliary tract) is the best detox method. Some people can accomplish this with lots of water and vegetables, and not overeating. Having a complete bowel movement at least once per day is really important.
Lots of things come in various forms - capsules, tablets, softgels, liquid, extract, alcohol-free extract, powders, chewables, topical formulations, nebulizers.... I like to take as many things in non-pill form as I can, but the limiting factor of that for me is all the flavors and sweeteners added to many non-pills to make them taste "better." Must read labels.
WBF, I like your phrase, "pill fatigue." Been there.
