There are many probiotic options. My LLMD's favorite is MegaSpore or other spore-based formulas.
Because of MCAS (requiring low-histamine probiotic strains) I like Ortho Molecular OrthoBiotic (just FYI, don't buy it from Amazon, as they massively inflate the price). It does contain some Saccharomyces boulardii, so it's not a good option if you are sensitive to that strain, although the amount in it might be much lower than what you're taking. People are supposed to vary their probiotics every few months, so this is a good opportunity to see which ones work well for you.
Another option (if you can handle histamine) is to consume raw fermented foods and beverages that contain live cultures - kefir, kombucha, yogurt, miso, giardiniera, lacto-fermented pickles, etc. Many of these are simple and cheap to make yourself.
While it's important to protect your microbiome during antibiotic treatment, plenty of people manage not to get C. diff even without Saccharomyces boulardii specifically. Lactobacillus rhamnosus, lactobacillus acidophilus, Bacillus coagulans, and Bacillus subtilis are other strains backed by research to help with C. diff. It seems odd to me that your LLMD is not familiar with other options.
Do you have a history of C. diff overgrowth, making this a special priority? If so, then have you considered a fecal transplant?
