i had read that Lyme cases all the symptoms of EDS by damaging the collagen and elastin fibers in our skin and musculature and tendons etc - but its not really the same as EDS - which is technically a genetic disorder. instead, this is a kind of acquired EDS.
if you are borderline genetic - then yes i can see inflammation from Lyme et al pushing it over the edge. inflammation => collagen/ protein breakdown.
i would get the genetic test if you have not had that already
buhner has a collagen protection protocol in his Lyme books - i think i would try that in either case
