Peroneal tendinitis is tough. Mine is mostly better after a few years but is easy to trigger again.

I found a couple you tube vids that show strengthening exercises for the outer side of the foot /Peroneal tendon, and muscle attachments (outer calf). Have not fully reviewed them yet.
As modern humans, walking on flat man made surfaces, we dont use side to side stability muscles, so we when we suddenly need to, we have no foot / calf strength in that direction and injury or re-injury becomes easy.
