I would like to print out a symptom list for Lyme and coinfections to give to a couple people.

Does anyone have any specific reccomendations.
Otherwise I'll google search etc.

I worry about those lists, in terms of new folks, though. I cannot think of a single symptom or condition that someone somewhere does not think is linked to Lyme and co-infections. For people new to Lyme that I meet, I find it tough to describe. Does my mom with spinal degeneration have Lyme? Maybe. Does my friend with CFS/ME - who has the same symptoms I do - have Lyme? Maybe. This is the problem with the notoriously unreliable Lyme tests: depending on whom you ask, we all have it, or none of us do. smile

i hear you Sara and i am sure we all have similar thoughts - especially when we see Lyme typical symptoms in people around us - only natural when you have been through what we have.

the issue is that almost all of the individual symptoms of lyme are non-specific - in that they can be caused any any number of things. so the way i think about it is - no one symptom on these lists means you have lyme - i find its better to think about it in terms of if a person has 60-80% of symptoms on one of these lists then its probably worth getting tested or seeing a LLMD to see if this yields more conclusive findings.

the Horowitz study on his MSIDS questionnaire is interesting as it underlines that the most specific symptom for lyme is "migrating muscle or joint pain" as this is not typical of most other illnesses.
