Cavities

Yea amalgam fillings can slowly leech mercury into the body. Whether it’s bad for you really depends on if your detox pathways are shutdown or not. Seems like they are in a lot of people w chronic illness, and their body begins to sequester toxins as a result.

I’ve worried about this problem for years. I had my amalgams out in early 2020 w a biological dentist. If you’re going to do this it has to be with a SMART biological dentist. I’m now slowly, very slowly, chelating with NMBI (also called OSR#1).

Is it helping? Can’t tell yet. I do feel better, but I’m doing so many other things. Am I happy to be getting these metals out of me? Hell yea (assuming I can keep going slow enough as to notice only minimal side effects).

My takeaway after all this time spent is this space is that metals are a huge problem for some people, but probably not THE problem for most of us in here w inflammatory conditions. Whether you want to try to remove them is up, but please do your research. The Facebook groups, particularly “Mercury Chelation”, are great resources

Just so you’re aware, composite fillings (not the mercury amalgams) are made of various substances from numerous manufacturers. If you want, you can have what is called compatibility testing first to determine if you have any immune reactions to substances used in dental materials. It’s nice to do this, since fillings will be in your mouth a very long time, and you don’t want to put permanent materials in your body that your immune system reacts to.

There’s a Clifford test and a Biocomp test. I had the Biocomp. It covered more stuff than the Clifford, I believe. It was over 60 pages long. It’s mind blowing the number of chemicals and substances that may be used in dental materials.

If you are interested in a biological dentist, you can find the one closest to you on that website.

Also, if the cavities are mild, a biological dentist may be able to treat the cavities with ozone rather than having to fill them.

I had an old mercury amalgam filling replaced with a 3D printer crown.
I believe it is porcelain based.
I think it’s 2 years old now - no problems with it.
