The ones who get the vaccine now, without fatal reactions and "survive the vaccine", even if they are protected against covid, in the acute phase of the vaccine protection effect, wish is for now, only a couple of months, since the vaccines were only approved for emergency use in December last year, still not know what are the long term effects of the mRNA vaccines. You see, thats why all vaccines, created before this "panic made" vaccine, were only accepted for its robust safety, after being trialed at least for 10 years.

Why? Because this long period of years allows researchers to confirm that any vaccine does not affect humans in the long term with chronic diseases that only appear a couple of years after exposure to a new vaccine, chronic diseases and fatal diseases like cancer, als, blood cloting anomalies, etc. So in the acute phase you might be right that a new generation, never ever tested for long term safety, could save some lives, but we must not forget, since mRNA is a whole new universe to humans, that fatalities that could only occur only in the long termn from fatal diseases, due to exposure to mRNA or new tech vax, are not known.., and that the life that was saved acutely, can be lost in the long term sooner or later. Of course we cannot be sure in one way or another, but it is an uncharted territory, were you might get away or risk being killed or live with the fear of being killed later.

If you hear any "expert" telling you that mRNA will not cause chronic diseases that can be fatal in the long term, he is lying, because there is no long term safety either positive or negative. But if anyone wants to go ahead and try the new mRNA or other new covid vax tech, never ever tested in the long term, then they are free to choose what is the best decision for them, in the long term. There is a saying in my country: "I can see my back just by seeing others people's back". So, if this new covid vax are really safe, as media, experts and organizations insist they are, i will see that from the backs of the ones who get the vaccines and choose to protect myself and my relatives based on what i see in their backs. And the backs i am seeing for now, is the backs of the people like the Utah mom and many thousands of others backs like hers. As for the backs of the ones who survived the new covid vaccines, and are still alive, after a couple of months, will have their backs uncovered in some years to come... and i hope to be here to see their backs then...

Longitudinal studies would be great but I don't think that is the real reason previous vaccines took longer to get authorized for use. These vaccines had the benefit of being trialed during a pandemic.. covid was (and is) everywhere, making it easier to organize and run very large trials.

Thank you for your comment potsnpans, but its not how you think. On the contrary, safety is the most important reason for Longitudinal studies wish can take 15 years.

What I'm saying is trials didn't take "several more years to complete" with the covid vaccines, because the covid vaccines had the benefit of being trialed during a covid pandemic. I don't believe there is typically a requirement for longitudinal studies.

Oh but there is, potsnpans. Thats why COVID Vaccines are not approved vaccines, they are vaccines approved for emergency use only... that is the main reason why covid vaccines were approved so quickly, in other words, they were rushed in panic from the pandemic

Of course, potsnpans, you are right and the who is right in saying "depending on the disease", because before the covid vaccine, the fastest vaccine to go from development to deployment was the mumps vaccine in the 1960s, which took about four years. Any other disease vaccine, besides the mumps, took more than four years. Except covid vaccine, wish was the only and unique vaccine ever approved in less than one year in the entire human history records of vaccine development.

I understand, look, but that has nothing to do with safety, but with circumstances. Do you understand what i mean? If the mumps vaccine, affected the whole world, like covid, so fast, the same might had happened and long term safety test would be skipped likewise and the world would accept the same risk hazards from vaccine adverse events like the covid vaccine today. COVID catched the whole world by surprise, the health organizations panicked and had to change their rules, they had to sacrifice long term safety trials, this could have happened with any other viral outbreak if it was global.

"Years" are not and never were a requirement for full approval (correct me if I'm wrong). Emergency use authorization is also not a new thing/change of rules..

It does not say "require".

Trials for other vaccines took longer, but not because they were required to take longer. There is no predetermined timeline for approval and there never was one. This is how I have come to understand it.. let me know if you can prove otherwise.

With the pandemic there has been huge government investment and greater coordination.. but no rules were changed. On top of that the trials were able to be completed much much faster because the disease is all over everywhere. Trials involving other diseases did not have that luxury.

I already proved that to you with oficial sources, several times, It is well established by the WHO, by the department of health from new york, by the CDC and for the every "you name it" health agency in the civilized world.. There is no single example in the entire world for any vaccine, in the entire human history, that took less than 4 years to approve.. and i already showed wish vaccine was, and even this one was an excepcional case, let me know if you can prove otherwise...

In English, those official sources do not say what you are claiming they say.

I can't tell if it's a language barrier or a personality issue, but these are likely the reasons why our discussions keep breaking down.. why we can't ever seem to, as you say "talk this through".

If there was ever a requirement for longitudinal studies, surely it would have been specified and we would be able to find lingering evidence. Maybe just admit that rules were not changed? Arguments questioning long-term safety will still stand...
