He did have the Western Blot but no bands showed up at all. They were all absent
So is that negative? I was thinking some other infection may have triggered the positive Lyme.
Maybe I should have him retested through Igenix. The doctor has to order that though right
The Western Blot may not be testing for all the lyme 'specific' bands. Igenex specializes in tick born testing...they know what they're doing.
My regular Dr. had me test through our medical and it was negative. They have a screening test and it wasn't positive, so they didn't proceed with the Western Blot.
I then tested with Igenex...and it was positive. Several lyme 'specific' bands showed up.
I believe you do need a Dr. signature on the Igenex lab req. (unless that has changed). But, you can get any Dr. - including a Naturopathic Dr....or a chiropractor...
Is there another Dr. you can ask to sign off on it?
You do need to have the Igenex test kit sent to you.
