I posted a week or so ago. I'll try to make this some what short.
Had UTI symptoms. This has sort of been ongoing but not too bad. Had bad bout a few weeks back, had urine culture and gyn put me on Macrobid. E-Coli bacteria count was 25,000 - so not too high.
Being that I have a lot of events this month due to my son's graduation I decided to take them and just get well quickly. Then I had one of the worst LD relapses ever. Shivering, trembling, weak, felt like something dislodged and woke up.
Last Friday I went to a urologist just to make sure there wasn't anything deeper going on. He took a urine sample and performed sonogram of area. This is more than a week post-antibiotics. He called and said my E-coli bacteria (90% of all UTIs are this type of bacteria) is 100,000 and he recommends antibiotics.
I don't know how my count could go up this much after taking antibiotics. I also have too many graduation events and can't miss them.
Question: Have any of you been through this? Can the counts be wrong? Last week my Lyme doctor sent a homeopathic bladder support tincture that I think has been helping.
Thanks for listening. Not sure what to do.
