Is it erythema migrans?

Hi there,

my daughter is enjoying a few days in a summer camp in the mountains and she just sent me a picture of what I guess is erythema migraines (I, myself, have (had?) lyme and she is fully aware of the situation). I would like to post the picture for you to give me your opinion. But I don't know if it is possible to post pictures and how to do it. Is it?

A bullseye can be appreciated although it is quite subtle. This picture was taken 30 h the bite approximately, although no tick was ever seen.

I vote yes and I feel pretty certain. In my experience, the faint circle continues to expand outward as the days go by.

Looks like it was caught early.. I would not be surprised if no other symptoms

-how long is it now since the bite/sting ?

-has the rash / mark grown or shrunk or changed since this photo at 30h ?

-does your child have any other symptoms - fever, fatigue, noise/ light sensitivity ?

We don't know as she did not saw any tick. In principle, since she first noticed the bite until this picture, would have been 4 days the longest possible, but it was probably shorter, like 2 days.

I will check tonight as she is back whether the bulls eye has changed

doxy should be fine at 18 years - only contraindications are in young children and pregnancy and then mainly because it can cause discoloured teeth in young children - not in young adults.

The rash had almost disappeared last Friday, that is probably after three days since the bite (maximum 5 days since the bite). No fever, no other symptoms. In any case she is on amoxy already at least for a couple of weeks.
