This really gets me angry:
From :

"The Torrey lawsuit plaintiffs have agreed to drop the case against the six so-called physician-panelists who greatly influenced Lyme disease care: Raymond J. Dattwyler, John J. Halperin, Eugene D. Shapiro, Leonard H. Sigal, Allen C. Steere and Gary P. Wormser."
The only charge that remains is against the organization (IDSA) itself, but only as an organization.
How is this acceptable?
A few months ago, in this same lawsuit, they allowed the insurance companies to settle for a stupid fine.
How is that beneficial to Lyme patients at all?
It's not like we are getting part of that fine to help pay our medical bills.
And why should criminal behavior be a fine at all?
It's just the cost of business for them: it's cheaper to pay a fine than to cover lyme patients in their insurance.
Now this month we find out that they AGREED to drop charges against "people" like Wormser.
People like him belong in jail, but once again they get away with what they've done.
Lyme patients are lucky if we even have 1 functional day a month, we're always sick, have huge medical bills and many of our lives are falling apart.
And now the court is basically saying that there are no repercussions for the people that caused a complete lack of medical care for us.
No repercussions for people that are constantly brainwashing doctors not to treat us.
The only thing left is the lawsuit against IDSA as an organization, and let me guess, that will be a stupid fine too.
As if the fine isn't already part of doing business and calculated in.
Infuriating if you ask me.
Makes me wonder what the real reason is the lawsuit was even filed if you're going to settle for stupid fines and let them all off the hook.
