Tinidazole neuropathy

Ever since I started tinidazole, my heel, my calf and my knee have felt numb only on my right side. It varies in intensity each day. I started the med about a month ago. I am to sure if it is tinidazole associated neuropathy or just a herx because it resembles my lyme symptoms I had before even starting treatment. Im unsure if I should stop the medication or wait it out because I know tinidazole associated neuropathy can be permanent. Something to not is that it often is worse when I feel worse and it gets better when I feel better. Any idea what I should do? What would tinidazole associated neuropathy feel like and wold it be in the whole body?

Tinidazole neuropathy usually takes a longer time to develop, but if youre taking it daily that might be enough to do it in one month. It wont necessarily be full body. How much how often are you taking?

I def would not mess around w/ neuropathy, if you think it could be that it makes sense to take a break and see.

dcd2103 im taking 1000 mg daily and the numbness came a few days after my initial dose of like 250 mg so. It got better but then came back im just hoping it goes away. Its not really painful just annoying and uncomfortable. Is there a possibility it is a herx?

Does it burn or tingle or is it just a loss of sensation? It could be a herx/immune response. Like I mentioned traditional tindimax neuropathy tends to be toxicity based and takes time to come on, at least based on what a knowledgeable dr who i trust on this type of thing told me....unless for some reason you just arent processing the drug properly?

Either way, the nerves can heal, but i would definitely stop and see how they do. If its inflammatory you dont want to push it.

It feels numb, kind of the sensation when youre at the dentist and they give anesthesia on your mouth but that feeling on my heel/foot. It is worse on the days that I herx which is why I thought it was just a herx. Ill give it a few more days and talk to my doctor to see what she thinks
