Tested Reactive to band 23 only

I tested positive for band 23. I was tested for Lyme disease because I had unusual symptoms. I still get symptoms now and then - like a flareup. Headache and joint pain that can be sever. Is it possible to have the symptoms when you have tested positive to band 23. Looking for answers.

Hi Rubygirl1,

Welcome! Band 23 is specific to Borrelia (Lyme). Those symptoms and dozens more are common with Lyme and other tick borne infections. How long have you been sick? Do you recall a tick bite or any circumstances surrounding the time your symptoms started?

Welcome to the forum. As WalkingbyFaith mentioned - band 23 is specific to lyme.

You should find a lyme literate Dr for an assessment and treatment.

What lab was it ?
We’re there any Indeterminate bands?

No other immediate bands. Yes - I don’t doubt exposure. The pain is over whelming and the later not so much. OTC pain meds do not help. Any recommendations for pain relief. Have you heard of the Green Dragon protocol-care to comment? Rubygirl1

Yes can be lyme bt keep in mind theres different strains, can be TBRF tick borne relapsing fever.

Can you post your results?

And where did you get the testing done?
