Is anyone familiar with the LB Core Protocol by Green Dragon Botanicals? Share your experience with me.

they don't look bad - in that they contain the main herbs Stephen Buhner advocates for Lyme
Supplement Facts:

Three capsules contain:

Japanese Knotweed root - 500 mg.
(Polygonum cuspidatum) - wildharvested - NE United States

Cat's Claw vine bark - 500 mg.
(Uncaria tomentosa) - wildharvested - Peru

Andrographis herb - 430 mg.
(Andrographis paniculata) - organic - India

Sarsaparilla root - 110 mg.
(Smilax spp.) - wild harvested - Jamaica/ Mexico

the only thing i would say is that Buhner suggests full dose for knotweed is around 30g a day of powdered root for a 150lb person
at 500mg for each 3 tablets - that's equal to 60 capsules per day - which is doable but a battle will not last very long

this is why most people prefer to just buy the powdered knotweed root in 500g bags and consume it a spoonful at a time in water or juice - or make it into a paste

its wise to start at much lower doses than this though - so it could be that the capsules work OK to begin with and then change to powder as the dose increases

nb - this protocol was based on buhners work around 2009 - he has since updated his protocols and Buhner later states he doesn't feel the andrographis is particularly useful in lyme.

it also causes aroudn1% of people an allergic reaction so may be another reason to buy separate powders for just the cats claw and knotweed

You can try it. Just some caveats.

- Andrographis can cause hives. If you develop hives, stop the product and don’t use it anymore.

- Some people are very sensitive and have herxes with even very low doses. Using a pre-prepared mix like this means you have little control over the dosing. If you have a negative response, you won’t know which ingredient you’re reacting to, unless you get hives, in which case it’s highly likely to be the andrographis.

If you decide to go with it, you could open the capsules, and take a smaller dose to start with.

Herxes don’t always happen immediately. They used to hit me hard around the 3 week mark.
