could these be tick bites?

wondering if i might have lyme disease. these were from dec 2019, had some symptoms, different ones now. bites became very itchy. thanks

thank you for the info, i didn't think so, but then I've also read they could be multiple and not have bullseye.

basically a month or two after the bites I was lightheaded for two weeks, body aches, then had a series of rashes all over my body the dermatologist said were eczema.

now have aches, ankle pain and swelling, increased fatigue, allergies, silent reflux and abdomen discomfort. not extreme but persistent. could definitely not be related to the bites, but all started around that time so it's always been in the back of my mind.

ticks typically bite and stay attached to get a blood meal which takes then several hours to days - so the chances are if all those bites were from ticks at east one would have been attached for hours or days and you would have seen it - so although its possible they are tick bits its seems rather unlikely.

that said, some of those later pictures look a little more concerning.

one of the difficulties is that any biting insect or arthropod can carry any one or more of a number of organisms - so lyme is not the only pathogen that can be contracted from a bite

and not all will give typical bulls eye rash.

questions:
1, how long after the bites were this last set of photos taken
2, have you any idea what might have bitten you
3, do you have pets ?
4, do they have fleas?

this number of flea bites would not be unusual - and it fits with no ticks being seen attached (fleas don't attach) - fleas also transmit zoonotic diseases to humans - just not as many as types ticks.

since you have symptoms suggestive of a vector born illness co-incident with the timing of bites - i do think it would be worth seeing a LLMD

not sure exactly where i was exposed but it was the beginning of winter here and the main culprits would've been a karaoke room and a 5 hr flight a couple days before i noticed the bites. don't recall any animal exposure at that time. looks like it could've been fleas though.

Slim pickings for a LLMD in Canada.
There is one - I believe he’s in Alberta but last time I checked he was swamped and not taking new patients.
Most people either go to the States or get treated by a LLND .
In BC a LLND can prescribe abx but I don’t think they can in other provinces… so they treat herbally .

The LLND I used to see here in BC will do phone appointments after an initial in person evaluation but maybe he doesn’t insist on an inperson since covid.

if those photos are 2-4months after the bites there's definitely something going on there - i would certainly get it checked out by a LLMD

if fleas are suspected insure that bartonella testing is on the list - but also do some reading into testing as its far from clear cut.
