Hi everyone, I am trying to work on detoxing heavy metals. I have two large titanium rods with a bunch of screws and pins in my back from a 1999 spinal fusion. I also have a double MTHFR mutation and I know my organs are not that healthy for example I believe I have leaky gut. I try to use an at home sauna daily but I am still dealing with chronic derealization which is my worst longest lasting symptom. I read last night that heavy metals can cross the blood brain barrier and can cause a lot of neurological symptoms. I just watched a YouTube video on chlorella which sounds helpful but I also heard that it is known as an imperfect chelator and it’s just moving the heavy metals around in your body which makes you feel worse. Thank you for your help!

I honestly don’t know if chlorella or other metal detoxers are safe with implants. I don’t even know what titanium is. Is it an individual metal or is it composed of other metals?

I had an idea. Maybe email several of the alternative doctors who talk about metal detox and ask their medical opinion. I know Dr Rawls sells chlorella. Dr Axe, Dr Jockers, Dr Mark Hyman are some other well known docs I thought of.

Thank you WBF, I appreciate your help! I just looked up titanium and it says it’s a chemical element, a silvery gray metal of Group 4 of the periodic table. It’s crazy that something that is used to make aircrafts is in my body lol. Thank you again for the reply!

Titanium is inert that is one of the reasons its used in the body, also for things like aircraft parts. Unless you have an allergy to it which is possible its probably not causing your problems.
