I was somewhat of a skeptic at first partially because the program schedule was pretty lengthy. But the fact is they were just being overly honest and I actually needed less appointments Towards the end of the six month adjustment. I’ve been going just for maintenance since fall now.
If somebody has passed injuries that healed incorrectly their body will take a new set of incorrect position. This is partially what happened to me. I had multiple soft tissue injuries that would not heal during the years I had these infections.
As NUCCA or any other chiropractic program tries to get that position back to “normal” they will probably experience some additional discomfort. That was my experience with physical therapy and normal conventional chiropractic. But I went through the further steps of learning a lot of the stuff myself physical therapy wise and what muscles were messed up and I slowly corrected those through fitness at the gym on my own with a little bit of help of physical therapist answering certain questions of mine. Some of them flat out said you would really benefit to learn some of this on your own because you won’t be able to afford all appointments you’ll need, so that’s exactly what I did.
I made some pretty good symmetrical improvements over the years knowing that nobody has touched my atlas, and that was not something I could do.
So I wasn’t sure exactly what I was getting into - I didn’t know if I was saving the best or worst for last (NUCCA). Turns out I made the right decision. In all honesty, what I did was a lot of work, but NUCCA Was the icing on the cake so far. My case was kind of extreme though, I certainly did not want to live like that for the rest of my life.
So fast forward to now and I can do workouts at the gym in my mid 50s that would have resulted in tremendous body tension in the past lasting for many days.
My body was so crooked that when I started the program I had 17 pounds more body weight on 1 foot versus the other when I thought I was standing straight up, now I’m within one pound difference on the dual calibrated scale measurement. If your heads literally not on Straight, where it should be , the rest of your body below it will suffer.
Fixing your body is kind of like a test in school you can give it a lot of effort and get 90% but to get that extra 10% requires a heck of a lot more work, and some may not get there. You never know till you try.
